Bourne and Tributary book reviews

Title: Bourne & Tributary- Two Novellas

Series: River of Time

Author: Lisa T. Bergren

Plot: These two novellas pick up where Torrent left off.
In Bourne The Bettarrini sisters are hoping that the war will end and peace will finally come.
In Tributary Lia is suffering from PTSD. Can Lia overcome it to help her country?

What I liked about these books: It was nice to find out what Happened to Gabi and Lia after the battle at the end of Torrent. Since they are novellas ( short novels) they were really fast paced.

What I didn't like about these books: Talks of being intimate in marriage. Thankfully it didn't go into much detail.

Would I recommend them? Yes, to those who have read the other books in the series.

Doon Book Review

Title: Doon

Authors: Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon

Series: A Doon Novel

Genre: Fantasy

Pages: 400

Plot: Veronica is your typical high schooler, who is have untypical dreams; She keeps seeing a blonde guy in a kilt.
Veronica's friend, Mackenna, thinks Veronica is seeing this guy because they are going to Scotland, so it is filtering into her subconscious.
Veronica knows she isn't crazy and she thinks going to Scotland will prove it,

What I liked about this book: The world Veronica and Mackenna go to is Brigadoon, the same world in the Brigadoon musical. I like the Brigadoon musical, so that element in the book interested me
The writing style reminded me of Jenny B. Jones' books, which I liked a lot.

What I didn't like about it: This book contains language, a ton of innuendo, and quite a few inappropriate scenes.

Would I recommend this book? Because of the bad content, no.
